iPod Nano Poised to be 2005's Hottest Selling Electronic Gadget

Apple's iPod's have quickly become one of the hottest selling gadgets. With the latest release of their iPoad Nano, Hitwise reports that searches for "ipod nano" surged 133% the week after it's product launch, pushing traffic levels beyond the 2004 shopping season.
"The iPod has consistently been one of the most searched for items on the Internet in the past year," said Bill Tancer, general manager of global research at Hitwise. "The share of searches on the iPod nano has eclipsed any other iPod products in the past year, suggesting that the consumer love-affair with the iPod has been reinvigorated with this product introduction."
The interest in this slick micro sized MP3 player continues to grow rapidly, and we estimate that Apple's Nano iPods will be this years number 1 top selling electronic gadget. A rush of sales on iPods this year, also bodes well for Apple iTunes, Apple's site for downloading music to the iPods.
